Ingredients:
1Kg Chicken
Spices
Ginger Paste
Garlic Paste
Yogurt
Paprika
Salt to taste
3 Medium Onion
3 Cups of Rice
Coriander
Contents of Spices
Cinnamon
Jeera cumin
Cloves
Black Cardamon
Sesame seeds
Nutmeg
Mace
Method
Make your own masala as shown in the picture and marinate the chicken( 1kg) with this masala, ginger garlic paste, yogurt, paprika and salt to taste.
Leave it overnight .
Next morning , chop 3 medium onions and cook the chicken marinate in it till chicken is done.
Soak about 3 cups of rice and cooked it with the whole spices and salt to taste till rice was 50 percent done.
Layer it by alternating the chicken curry with the cooked rice and then left it for the Dum ( slow cooking on low flame) for 20 minutes!!
Serve it piping hot with fried onion and coriander garnish!!!
You could add a bit of tomato if you like
Note– Lemon juice keeps the rice grains separate while cooking!
