Classic,Super-moist,light,delicious and full of flavor!
If you love pineapples and cherries then use fresh Pineapples and cherries here, it’s wonderful in flavour than canned ones.
Ingredients:
1 Cup butter, softened
1/2 Cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar
2 Eggs
1 Cup yoghurt
½ tsp pineapple essence (if you don’t have you can use vanilla essence )
2 Cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp ground cinnamon
Some extra brown sugar and butter
Fresh Pineapple slices and cherries (you can use canned also)
Method:
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
First melt some butter, pour it into your baking pan, top with a sprinkle of brown sugar.
Then spread fresh pineapple slices and cherries. (I love this part of the entire cake, trust me..it’s gorgeous)
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and eggs. Fold in the yogurt and pineapple essence.Add the sieved dry ingredients and mix well.
Top the pineapples and cherries with this cake batter.
Bake for 50-55 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the cake comes out clean and it’s beautifully golden on top.
Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes.
Now turn the cake on serving plate or onto your cake stand.
Yummy, Moist and flavorful!
