You need –
1/2 kg boneless skinless chicken
2 tbsp soya sauce
4 garlic cloves – minced
2 finely cut green chillies
1-2 red chillies for garnish
Spring onion greens for garnish
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp of any garlic chilli sauce
1/2 cup cornflour mixed / diluted in water
2 tbsp of cornflour – dry
1 egg- whisked well
1/2 of green bell peppers diced
Salt and pepper as per seasoning
Wash the chicken and pat dry.
To this you add 1 tbsp soya sauce , very little salt, 1 beaten egg, 2 tbsp of dry corn flour and a dash of garlic chilli sauce .
Mix well and let it rest for 15 mins .
Now heat some sesame oil, to which you add your minced garlic and green chillies and sauté for 1 min.
Add your capsicum or half an onion not finely cut ( optional) and sauté for another 3-4 minutes .
Throw in your sauces of soya, tomato and garlic chilli and mix well .
Add water and let the capsicum and onion mix boil while seasoning with salt and pepper .
Meanwhile , deep fry your marinated chicken pieces till golden brown and add them to this gravy.
Let this cook for another 8-10 mins.
Now add your cornflour that was diluted in water and mix throughly so that no lumps are formed .
Let it simmer for another 5 mins .
Your garlic chicken is done .
Make it look pretty with a garnish of red chillies and spring onion greens !
Enjoy with noodles or rice or a roti.
