Cottage cheese blocks in a mildy spiced Spinach purée gravy
Ingredients :
1 pack Frozen paneer
1 bunch Spinach leaves
1 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves( kasuri methi)
2 Onions
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
1 tsp tomato paste
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp cumin powder
1 tsp red chilli flakes
1/2 tsp all spice mix( garam masala).
Oil
Frozen paneer 1 pack and cut it in cubes.
Blanched 1 bunch of spinach leaves and puréed it with 1 tbsp of dried fenugreek leaves( kasuri methi)
Meanwhile made an onion paste and sautéed it in oil.
To this I added 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp of tomato paste and sautéed it.
Added the spice mix of 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp cumin powder, 1 tsp red chilli flakes and 1/2 tsp of all spice mix( garam masala).
Fried this mix really well till the oil separates.
Now add the paneer pieces and then the spinach purée.
Let it cook for 7 minutes.
Dish out with 4-5 pieces of fried paneer aka cottage cheese as topping and a cream garnish.
Note– you could deep fry paneer / cottage cheese pieces.
Kindly use mustard oil for this recipe.
